Fillet Steak Recipe

Preparation Time

  • Preheating: 30 minutes
  • Seasoning: 30 minutes
  • Cooking: ~10 minutes
  • Total time: ~1 hours

Temperature

  • Oven: 220°C (428°F)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 220°C (30 mins)

  2. Season the steak with:
    • Olive oil
    • Black pepper
    • Coarse salt (Let sit for 30 mins)
  3. Prepare for salad, and fry the garlic.

  4. Cook in hot pan:
    • Add butter and oil
    • 2 mins each side
  5. Rest for 3 mins, then:
    • Repeat step 4
    • Add butter and garlic

Chef’s Notes

  • Fillet steak is tender and less fatty
  • Optional flavor enhancers:
    • Herbs
